Sniff out Corked Wine

It’s not always possible, but we were reminded why it’s important to give every bottle a quick “sniff-test.” Tonight a large fraction of the attendees at a wine dinner were served “corked” wine, in other words, wine that was spoiled by cork taint. Luckily someone caught it before it was too late, and all of those glasses were removed and replaced. We know better, and it bears repeating: always test every bottle before serving!
